What is Crypto?

Crypto is short for cryptographic, which is a computer science term for the process of securely transmitting data using fairly complex math wth the help of a computer. To learn more in depth about the specifics click here.

In essence there is 3 parties to every action. There is (1) Sender, (2) Receiver, and (3) Everyone else. The goal is for the Sender to send data ->(data can be a message, photo, file, money, etc.) securely to the Receiver without anyone else being able to intercept or decode the original message or data.

In 2009 Bitcoin was the first to do this with money. Bringing digital currency to people with help from cryptography and economic incentives in the form of mining (check our mining page for more info) thus creating the first ever Cryptocurrency.
